Experience
I have been tutoring students since my Sophomore year of high school in mainly math. I have a 2000 SAT score and an ACT composite score of 31. I have taken the following AP classes with the corresponding score: AP European History-5 AP United States History-5 AP Biology- 5 AP English Language-4 AP Calculus AB-5 AP Calculus BC-5 AP English Literature-4 AP Environmental Science-4 AP Statistics-4 AP Government-4 AP Macroeconomics-4 I have received both the AP Scholar with distinction (2010&2011) and the National AP Scholar Award (2011). I graduated at the top four percent of my high school. At UCLA, I have taken multiple Chemistry courses- including both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry-, Math courses -including additional Calculus and Statistic courses-, Biology courses, and multiple Political Science courses which deal with in depth understandings of history and writing. I have managed to maintain a GPA of 3.6, earning myself a spot on the Dean's Honor List. Not only have I tutored High School students, but also students in both elementary school and middle school. I started tutoring because I realized there is always a teacher who cannot explain a concept to students in an understandable way. I like to connect with the student and find ways to explain the topic in a manner that is personalized to them.
