Experience
My first tutoring experience was in 6th grade, the 'Tutor Club' helped in a 1st grade class each week. I graduated valedictorian of my high school class and scored in the 95th percentile of the SAT. While at Hamilton College I served for two years as the archaeology department TA / lab assistant and tutored high school student residents of A Better Chance Clinton, NY. In seminary I tutored music theory and studied voice, biblcal studies and theology. I have also served as a bivocational music minister in which I taught and conducted an adult / youth choir and volunteered with at-risk youth in my neighborhood through my local church. I currently volunteer with a cadet squadron of the Civil Air Patrol as a future character development officer and eventually chaplain. I am well-rounded academically so I can tutor most subjects but will be honest with you when something is beyond my expertise. My goal is to help my students improve their learning and problem solving skills, think critically, read and write effectively, and to be a role model and positive influence in their lives. Hobbies
My full-time job is as an HVAC Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Technician (a lot of Physics!) I enjoy playing volleyball, soccer and golf and also watching hockey, tennis and baseball. I also enjoy the outdoors (when it's not too hot!) and listening to music.
